You can book any time from 7AM to midnight Sunday to Thursday, and from 7AM to 1AM on Friday and Saturday. Events have a 4-hour minimum, and shorter bookings for photo shoots, content creation and small meetings may be possible at the venue’s discretion.

Cancel 90 or more days before your event for a full refund, or 14 to 89 days before for a 50% refund. Cancellations less than 14 days before the event are not refundable.

Yes. Tours are available any day the space isn’t in use for an event, 8AM to 6:30PM, with no appointment needed. Just call (312) 815-6917 shortly before heading over and we’ll arrange access for you.

Your rental includes 7 round tables (60″), 2 rectangular tables (30″ × 72″), 40 stackable chairs and 4 bar stools; a full kitchen with a fridge, electric oven/stovetop, sink and microwave, plus an island with an ice machine and under-counter refrigerator; a 76″ Smart TV with casting and HDMI; a built-in sound system you can connect to by Bluetooth or cable; high-speed WiFi; and 2 unisex ADA-compliant restrooms. No. They’re stored at the back of the venue, and you can arrange them however you like.

Yes. We have 40 chairs, so larger groups often bring extra. Please take everything you bring with you at the end of your event.

Yes, furniture can be rearranged to fit your event layout.

No. Access starts at your booked start time, and setup and breakdown need to fit within your booked hours. You can add extra time if it’s available.

Yes. The space is at street level with step-free entry, and there are 2 unisex ADA-compliant restrooms.

Yes. Montrose Studio is a BYOB space, and outside food and beverages, including alcohol, are welcome.

Yes, inside the venue. You or your caterer can use the full kitchen, and there are standard 120V outlets for food warmers and flattops. There is no outdoor cooking area.

Yes. The kitchen island seats 4 at its bar stools and has a built-in ice machine and under-counter refrigerator, so it works well as a drink station.

Food warmers and burners for keeping food warm are allowed. Candles are not allowed.

No. Please bring your own tablecloths, linens, plates, cutlery and cookware.

No. Montrose Studio is for private events only. Ticketed events, events open to the public, and any payment from attendees, including paid workshops or paying a speaker or organizer directly, are not permitted.

No. Smoking of any substance and confetti are not permitted at Montrose Studio.

Yes, you’re welcome to bring your own vendors. We just ask that you put us in touch with them before your event. Need help finding someone? We’re happy to recommend vendors, such as decorators.

Montrose Studio is at 4364 N Milwaukee Ave in the Portage Park neighborhood of Chicago, at the corner of Milwaukee Ave and Montrose Ave, between Six Corners and Jefferson Park. CTA buses #56 Milwaukee and #78 Montrose stop at the corner. The closest L station is Montrose on the Blue Line, about a 14-minute walk, and Jefferson Park (Blue Line) is about 18 minutes on foot.

Yes. Free street parking is available on N Milwaukee Ave, W Montrose Ave and W Pensacola Ave. You can also add the private lot at the back door: 5 spaces, with room for up to 7 cars using tandem parking, for $45 per hour. The lot is available on weekday evenings after 5PM and all weekend.
